Hi, I’m Rachael, the face behind Leave it to Polly. Thanks for stopping by!

A decade ago, you’d find me weaving through downtown Seattle—coffee in one hand, laptop bag in the other—thinking I was living the dream in the corporate world. I loved the energy of the city and the people I worked with, but the work itself wasn’t tapping into the creative side of my brain. I was good at my job, but it wasn’t what truly lit me up. What really excited me were the moments in between—the holiday parties I pulled together, the weddings I helped friends plan, and the way I could take a vision and make it real. I remember feeling a strong pull for a creative outlet.

It took a few chapters and career shifts, but I’ve finally found my true calling. Now, as a mom of two toddlers, I manage our vacation rental (which doubles as our family getaway...duh, right?) and get to plan amazing events and weddings for...you! My days are full, and my to-do lists are long. When I’m not working with incredible clients to coordinate and plan, I’m usually hosting at a local venue. (Enneagram 3 here—iykyk!)

With Leave it to Polly, I get to lean into what I’m naturally great at: bringing creative visions to life and managing all the details. Event planning is second nature to me, and my job is to make sure everything comes together seamlessly so you can actually enjoy the moment. And as a bonus? I occasionally get to create amazing new friendships along the way.
